Bac Kan Mineral JSC is a Vietnam-based mining company. The Company principally engages in mining activities, exploration, extraction, and processing of minerals, non-metallic minerals, including stone and sand, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as provides consultation services in the mining industry. It also manufactures and merchandises materials and equipments for construction and mining works. In addition, it is involved in manufacturing and trading of agricultural and forestry products, wine, beer, mineral water, and beverage, as well as offering construction services of civil and industrial works. As of December 31, 2008, revenue from the mining of lead ore accounted for 89.15% of total revenue. It has one joint venture engaged in zinc mining and zinc oxide processing. The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) is the representative of the state-owned capital, holding a 46.26% stake in the Company.
