SuPan 2 Hydropower Joint Stock Company is a Lao Cai-based company found in 2005. At present, the company is operating Supan 2 Hydropower Plant with total design capacity of 34,5 MW. The annual average commercial power output is about 140 KWh, accounting for a very small portion in the national electricity production system. Due to the characteristic of the power industry, there exists no competition among power companies in terms of consumption market.
