Saigon Maritime Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based company engaged in the transportation industry. It is engaged in coastal marine transportation and inland water transportation of freight, together with the provision of other shipping services, including freight forwarding, ship brokerage and agency and custom clearance services. The Company is also involved in the provision of cargo loading and unloading services, warehousing services and port operations. Other activities include multimodal freight transportation, vessel leasing, as well as the building and repair of transportation vehicles. During the year ended December 31, 2010, 67.89% of its total revenue came from transportation activities. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had one wholly owned subsidiary which was about to liquidate, two branches and one representative office.
