With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,833 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,444 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw reduction.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,130 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,250 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from August 30.
Meanwhile, BIDV cut both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,140 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,260 VND/USD.
Techcombank offered the buying rate at 23,115 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,255 VND/USD, both down 5 VND from August 30.
During the week from August 26 to 30, the daily reference exchange rate for USD/VND fluctuated during the week from August 26 to 30, and ended the week 6 VND higher than the rate on Monday.
The rates at commercial banks ended the week mostly higher than on the week’s first day.-VNA
