The daily reference exchange rate was set at 23,133 VND per USD on August 30, unchanged from the previous day (August 29).
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,826 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,429 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks dropped slightly.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,140 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,260 VND/USD, unchanged from August 29.
BIDV cut both rates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,135 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,255 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, Techcombank cut both rates by 13 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,120 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,260 VND/USD
The daily reference exchange rate fluctuated variably throughout the week from August 26 to 30, down on Monday and Wednesday and up on Tuesday and Thursday. It ended the week up 19 VND from Monday.
The rates at commercial banks also fluctuated during the week but ended the week changing little compared to the rates on Monday. -VNA
