Reference exchange rate revised down on May 3

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,030 VND per USD on May 3, down 3 VND from the previous day (May 2).
 
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied by commercial banks for the day is 23,721 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,339 VND/USD.
 
The opening hour rates at commercial banks also saw decreases. 
 
Both Vietcombank and BIDV cut 20 VND from both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,210 VND per USD and the selling rate at 23,310 VND per USD as of 8:15. 
 
Techcombank also reduced both rates by 20 VND to 23,190 VND/USD (buying) and 23,310 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
