Reference exchange rate down at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,396 VND/USD on January 15, down 10 VND from the end of last week (January 12). 
 
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,065 VND/USD, and the floor rate 21,729 VND/USD. 
 
The opening hour rates at major commercial banks stayed stable. 
 
Across Vietcombank, Vietinbank and BIDV, the buying rate is listed at 22,675 VND/USD and the selling rate 22,745 VND/USD, unchanged from the rates on January 12. -VNA
