The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued decisions to impose anti-dumping measures on a number of products imported from Malaysia, Thailand and China, the ministry's Trade Remedies Authority announced on Monday.

On January 14, the ministry issued Decision 143 to apply an official anti-dumping duty on pre-stressed steel wire originating from these three countries (case code AD17).

The goods subject to the duty are classified under the Harmonisation System (HS) codes 7312.10.91 and 7312.10.99.

On December 24, 2024, the ministry issued Decision 3453 to apply official anti-dumping measures on wind towers imported from China (case code AD18).

These products have HS codes 7308.20.11 and 7308.20.19. Those imported as a part of a wind turbine generator set will be classified under HS codes 8502.31.10 and 8502.31.20.

Businesses wanting to apply for anti-dumping duty exemptions for the two cases should submit their requests to the online public service portal at dichvucong.moit.gov.vn, or by post to the Trade Remedies Authority office in Hanoi.

The application must include the documents specified in Article 14 and Appendix III of Circular 37, issued by the trade ministry on November 29, 2019, regulating details on trade defence measures, according to the agency. — VNS
