Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker BYD on Thursday officially introduced its brand with three key lines, and announced its strategy in the Vietnamese market.
The three lines, namely BYD SEAL, BYD DOLPHIN, and BYD ATTO 3, have prices starting from VNĐ659 million (US$26,037).
Liu Xueliang, general manager of BYD Asia-Pacific auto sales division, said that the company’s strategy is to accompany other businesses in Việt Nam to develop an environmentally friendly new-energy vehicle industry, thereby creating positive changes for the community, towards a better life.
BYD will focus on developing key strategies to contribute to diversifying green transportation and clean energy solutions, aiming for a sustainable future.
For July, the company plans to officially open 10 showrooms in Hà Nội, HCM City, and Bình Dương, Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, Thanh Hóa, Quảng Ninh, and Bắc Giang provinces, he said, adding that the figure will be increased to 100 nationwide within three years.
In addition, BYD has cooperated with financial and insurance partners. In the first phase, it has collaborated with three large banks, namely BIDV, VPBank, and VietinBank, to carry out loan support programmes of up to 85 per cent of the vehicle value with preferential interest rates. It has also shaken hands with reputable insurance partners to bring exclusive incentives, helping BYD car owners feel secure while operating their vehicles. — VNS
