Reference exchange rate up 5 VND on December 15

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,195 VND/USD on December 15, up 5 VND from the previous day.
 
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,895 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,500 VND/USD.
 
The opening-hour rates listed at commercial banks went up.
 
At 8:30am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,870 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,140 VND/USD, both up 50 VND from December 14.
 
BIDV raised both rates by 55 VND to 22,905 VND/USD (buying) and 23,145 VND/USD (selling)./.
