The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,059 VND per USD on June 14, down 1 VND from the previous day (June 13).
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,750 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,368 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to drop.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,260 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,380 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from the same time on June 13.
BIDV cut 5 VND from both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,265 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,385 VND/USD.
Techcombank also reduced both rates by 5 VND to 23,240 VND/USD (buying) and 23,380 VND/USD (selling).
During the week from June 10-14, the reference exchange rate was adjusted up on two days and down on three days. The rate ended the week up 5 VND.
The rates listed at commercial banks fluctuated during the week, but generally ended the week down from Monday.-VNA
