The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,429 VND/USD on December 4 – the first day of the week -, down 9 VND from the rate at the end of last week.
With the current trading band of + /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,095 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,756 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at major commercial banks saw slight changes.
Vietcombank revised both its rates down by 10 VND compared to December 1, buying the greenback at 22,675 VND and selling at 22,745 VND per USD.
However, both BIDV and Vietinbank maintained their rates at the same level as on December 1, listing the buying rate at 22,680 VND and the selling rate at 22,750 VND per USD.-VNA
