Savills Vietnam on Wednesday launched sales in Hanoi of a luxury condo project underway in London.

Savills said the sales, which had earlier been launched in Singapore and Malaysia, of the 155 luxury apartments would gauge Vietnamese feedback.

There are a total 539 units in the project at 375 Kensington High Street that is being built by St Edward, a joint venture company owned by Berkeley Group and Prudential.

The apartments range from 34 to 250 square meters, with one to three bedrooms and duplex penthouses. Prices range from US$1 million to US$7 million per unit.

Matthew Powell, Hanoi branch director for Savills Vietnam, said in a statement that bringing in the condo project to Vietnam aimed to seek out new opportunities and new markets for Savills’ clients.

He said the apartment project represented an iconic address in one of the most trusted and stable markets in world, providing buyers with an opportunity to purchase a luxury apartment in a prime central London location.

The method of the payment would be decided on a case by case basis, Savills said.

According to Savills, all of the apartments in the project would be offered on a 999 year lease and with a full 10 year build warranty.

Savills said they have sold 80 apartments on the Singapore, Malaysia market, and the project would soon be introduced in Hong Kong.
