80 percent of listed shares increased dragging the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) gain 7.73 points or 1.51 percent to 521.12 pts.

The market liquidity bounced with over 53 million shares being traded successfully with total value of over 2.2 trillion dong, up 20 percent in volume and 16 percent in value against the previous session.

Amongst 200 share codes and four fund certificates on the southern bourse, the market saw 170 shares increased with 41 reaching the ceiling price, 20 others decreased with one falling to the floor price and 24 shares stood still at the comparative price.

The group of bank shares ranged around the reference price whereas other key stocks increased strongly such as SSI, KBC, VNM, SJS, PVF, PVD, DPM, BVH, HPG and REE.

In terms of trading volume, SSI reached over three million shares and then STB with 2.24 million, PET 1.85 million, EIB 1.63 million and SAM, REE, KBC, CII, TCM and VSH with over one million shares being traded.

Similarly, the HNX Index bounced 1.07 points or 0.63 percent to end at 171.23 pts with the total trading volume of over 28.88 million shares valued at 933.3 billion dong.

The group of Song Da shares and Vinaconex kept upturn tendency such as WSS, SHS, VIX, VIG, BVS and KLS.
